Join us on the Sails to Sales tour and discover the most popular and secret sites of the South Street Seaport, and the many bars, taverns, houses and shops that made it the 'gateway' to the world. Discover the wealthy Schermerhorn's who erected buildings at the seaport for sailors to find entertainment on the mainland. As of the 1840s, the Seaport opened up America's trade to the Far East

Along the way, you will always be able to admire the beautiful silhouettes of New York's most famous constructions, such as the Brooklyn Bridge. Delve into the renowned Fulton Fish market and the Paris Cafe, where Thomas Edison set up shop as he electrified lower Manhattan. You will also hear about how the seaport developed in the 19th century before falling into oblivion and then reviving as New York's top shopping destination.
