Activity Description

Rub shoulders with celebs, sports stars and royalty during a visit to the Madrid Wax Museum. Explore the more than 40 rooms packed with waxworks that are so lifelike as to appear like the real thing. Historic figures are recreated in the environment in which they lived, lending an even greater authenticity to the statues.

The collection is constantly updated to ensure that the most prominent figures of the day are represented, giving you the chance to ‘meet’ Hollywood A-listers such as George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas. Spanish sports heroes of the calibre of Andres Iniesta, Iker Casillas, Fernando Alonso and Rafa Nadal are also on display as are a number of the country’s cultural greats, with the likes of Montserrat Caballe and Joaquin Rodrigo. You can also observe flamenco legends Lola Flores and Joaquin Cortes is an unusually tranquil mode.

Spanish royal figures include the Catholic Kings who united the country in the 15th century and the current monarch, King Juan Carlos. Mythical warrior and national hero El Cid appears just like he would have when he was battling all comers almost 1,000 years ago. These are just some of the 450 waxworks on display.

The museum also has other attractions such as the Terro Train, the RV Simulator, which replicates a space journey with special effects, and Multivision, an audiovisual presentation charting the history of Spain.
